This painting is about the cups which used to located in my previous flat. I took this photo before I moved out from this place.
The normal life always can interest me. I have to say that art indeed comes from our life. First of all, all these art works created by people who live in this huge, normal life. They maybe go through everyday like the other people do, or they will have the special period of lifetime during their own, short life. But all these creations, in a way, are the reflection of their life and emotions.
In this term, I work on several paintings about still lifes. I usually take photos about my own life or my home place. All these things, I can say, are simple and normal. I can catch them immediately.
Painting brings me the chance to remember things. We are living in this busy world. And the fast-paced life style dosen't allow us to hold everything in our brain. We forget things easily. But when I paint,I feel the process of painting remembers me several things which related to this image.
For this particular painting, I get the inspration from Karin Mamma Andersson,'s works.

Karin painted a lot of paintings about furniture, corners of the room. Her compositions are often dreamlike and expressive. She uses brilliant color which makes me feel warm and comfortable. Then I try to bring these colour which I learn from her into my work and make the whole picture more warm and peaceful.
