Notes on Practice -- Short summarize.

This term I am still working on the issue of my life and memory.Collecting picture and things that related to my theme and trying to improve them. Also tried to paint a series of landscape and still life which are no figure in these pictures. I used to paint a piece of picture about the cups in my flat slowly and patiently. Focusing on almost every step of these painting. I tended to paint it we my mind is really peaceful. And It took me nearly 2 weeks to finish a small painting. After I finish it, I ast my friend who has know me 2 years since I studied in London. She said that it is the firsh time that I paint like this. And she said she can feel the feeling of lasy and dizzy throughout the brush-style in this painting. That really surprised me. But in this way It shows the chain between painter, personal state, and painiting. Personal state will affect the painter ,then viewer can actually feel the state throuthout the painting.

As I usually paint from photographs. It is important for me to think about the way to deal with the digital image, and express myself.

Then the next week I did the one about bottles very quickly. This one was finish within 3 days after I finally choose the image which I wanna paint. Then I got the tutorial after few days. My tutor can easily noticed that this painting have been done very quickly as the brushes are strong and free.

Quick painting is some sort of free myself. It is also a brave thing to do as I can not spend too much time on thinking which step I should do next. When I paint very quick, I always follow my feelings diectly. To be honest, I think that inspiration is a short-term thing and it will not hold for a very long time. Passion comes the same way. People see a certain thing or watch a moive. I have to say we all go throgh these things, for example, One line can bring you the feeling as you may be remember the thing that quite similar with the story. But this feel gone quickly just because you saw the other line that appear in the next minute. Catching feeling is not a easy job. And paint quickly give me the chance to hold that feeling. And also, it will give you unexpected thing.

Then for the next. As in this term, all my paintings are small scale. I am planning to make few bigger structures and trying to bring figures again into my painting.
