His abstract paintings depict landscape elements in a rather reduced and abstract way. The artist says he tries to capture and convey the textures of life. With his passion for water and the sea, Jeff Erickson creates abstract scenes of peacefulness, relaxation, and calmness.
The colors in his painting are simple and match each other. I feel comfortable and peaceful in his pictures. And I can get the feeling of generous. Color have the power to effect people's mind and express the feeling of painter. I think the gold between white and blue is the most perfect part of that painting. Like the real thing and like the dream. As colors are important elements in my painting. I am researching the color pallet in others' paintings.
